I digitized a paper-based growth mindset assessment developed by Carol Dweck, converting it into an interactive Articulate Storyline experience for adult learners. The digital version automated scoring and simplified result interpretation.

The Problem

The instructor was using a pen-and-paper version of the Growth Mindset Assessment, which required learners to calculate their own scores. This process was time-consuming, prone to errors, and distracted learners from reflecting on their results and understanding what their scores meant.

The Solution

I converted the paper-based assessment into a digital, interactive experience that streamlined scoring and improved clarity for learners.

• Automated scoring to eliminate manual calculation
• Designed clear result screens to help learners interpret their scores
• Preserved the integrity of the original assessment while improving usability and flow

Outcome

The digitized assessment reduced cognitive load by removing manual scoring and allowed learners to focus on reflection and discussion. The instructor was able to deliver the activity more efficiently, and learners engaged more meaningfully with their results.
